VW Golf 7′s family body version, meaning the new VW Golf Variant, will be officially launched at the Geneva Auto Show in 2013. But the first images have already emerged in the German press, being taken during a preview testing.
At the Geneva Auto Show 2013 we will see to contradictory versions of the new VW Golf 7: one for sport men, Golf R, the other one for family men, the new Volkswagen Golf Variant.
The latter was tested in preview by the German press ( here are the photos from the test drive), and the wide audience has the opportunity to see the first official photos with the new Golf Variant.
Compared to the previous Golf 6 Variant, the new Golf 7 Variant adopts, as it is expected, a more rugged style for the rear, with an increased massiveness yet with a stroke of dynamism which its predecessor didn’t have.
Volkswagen Golf 7 Variant
As for the capacity of the trunk, it increases with 100 litres, reaching to 605 litres for the five seats configuration. And, by pulling back the seats, the total capacity reaches 1.565 litres.
Mechanically speaking, Golf Variant takes over the engines and the transmissions from the hatchback variant, but we don’t know the price difference yet. In Romania we will most likely see the new VW Golf Variant at the beginning of March.
