Skoda is offering spectacular deals on outgoing versions of its family car
Skoda has confirmed that a new Octavia will be revealed by the end of the year, with a big public debut set for next year’s Geneva show. Which means it’s a heads-up to get your hands on one of the heavily discounted current models while you can.
The existing Octavia is a great family car. It’s spacious, honest and priced to make the competition look a bit foolish. Currently there’s a massive 25 per cent off available remaining stock of the 1.6 TDI Octavia SE Connect, which brings the 119g/km, 62.8mpg hatch in at just £13,990. The estate will cost £14,740. You even get 16-inch alloys, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth.
The only downside is that you’re restricted to metallic silver or grey paint (included in the price), and you’ll have to hunt down the available examples. Best bet is to contact your local Skoda dealer, but act fast if you want to take advantage of the deal.

Skoda’s no-VAT deal (which of course gets you 20 per cent off) is about to end, too. It’s been running for years, but company sources have confirmed that the deal will be stopped as “people start not to see it as a deal any more when it’s been around so long”. It applies to the vast majority of the range, and still represents amazing value.
The final Octavia deal of note is the vRS Blackline 2.0 TDI, which gets sat-nav, black 18-inch alloys, parking sensors and leather interior on top of the standard spec. It doesn’t get VAT off, but at £21,260 it’s still highly tempting.
