VW’s Concept Car: The Cross Coupe

This concept car was first unveiled back in 2011 at the Tokyo Motor Show and now in 2012 it is going to make a its debut at 2012’s Geneva Motor Show. With a highly impressive mpg, this nice and stylish eco-car is going to make a lot of noise when it will hit the productions sometimes early in the next year – as the rumor suggests. But for the time being, let’s see what this Cross Coupe concept is all about and figure out how good it is going to get. So far the promises are high but will Volkswagen be able to keep the promises? Highly Impressive MPG

The mileage of the Cross Coupe is going to be very nice addition to the VW vehicles. It has got a highly impressive fuel consumption rate which is so low that it is presumed to run 100 kilometers while using 2.7 liters of fuel. This assumption makes it a very fuel efficient coupe, as the mpg of this concept car is going to be around 105mpg. But that’s old news – as VW has confirmed this concept car is going to be even more fuel efficient – providing an even more impressive 157mpg – so that’s just amazing, isn’t it? However, we will have to wait and see how this VW concept car hits production next year, as it comes with two different assumptions and promises. Let’s hope for the best!

The Cross Coupe Concept Car: The Eco-Concept

The upcoming VW’s concept of the Cross Coupe is also going to be a part of the eco-car vision that VW has been proudly boasting about. With such high mileage promises, the Cross Coupe has already established itself as one of the eco-cars the VW is going to come up with. Add to it the extremely low CO2 emissions of the electric hybrid engine that it comes with – ranging it from 62 g/km (max) to 46 g/km (min). We hope the latter one makes it to the production but the 62 g/km of CO2 emission is also pretty eco-friendly compared to other contemporary vehicles. So it seems, as far as the concept of the Cross Coupe suggests, we’re going to see a new eco-car hitting the markets next year – hopefully!
