Reviewing 2012 Volkswagen Golf R 3-door

Volkswagen has been surprising us with a number of different models of cars with different shapes and specs, but with the 2012 Golf R, it seems the VW group has managed to come closer to the hearts of the genuine car enthusiasts a lot more. With a lot of surprising features, the 2012 model of Golf R 3-door has come to impress a lot of people – including the critics, we must say.

3-Door unique Design

The 2012 Volkswagen Golf R’s most impressive feature is its unique shape. Yes, a lot of people would call a 3-door four wheeler rather unique and we think VW has made a point with that. We liked the way Golf R’s new design looks.

Engine and Other Stuffs

The 2012 Volkswagen Golf R comes with a decent engine that will seem good for many people. It comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine which we would call pretty decent. It will also produce a healthy level of horsepower as in 256hp – so this looks pretty good. A lot of people would feel comfortable with that kind of horsepower and we also think it is adequate – no pressure given.

Performance Monitoring

This VW’s Golf R 3-Door comes with a limited level of speed which is understandable. With a 256hp engine, you can’t really expect this car to run like the ‘Bolt’! Understandably, the top speed limit of 130 mph is well matched to its rather average but decent 256hp. However, as far as the acceleration is concerned we think the new Golf R can handle quite a lot. It can reach the 60 mph mark within 6 seconds – so that’s kind of fast.

Other Decoration

The new Golf R comes with LED running lights which give the car a new shiny appearance. This Golf R also has got a kind of motorsports type of look and that gives the car a new expression.
