Latest Updates Regarding the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo

The 911 series has been one of the most hit productions from Porsche and with the highly anticipated 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo, the company is again making some noise in the media. The latest news is that this 2013 version of the 911 Turbo is set to hit the productions with tri-turbo systems. While we will discuss that further; along with that we will put lights on the possible configuration with which the 911 Turbo is coming with.

About the Tri-Turbo Update

Although the 911 Turbo usually comes with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine, but there will be a slight change of arrangements with the 2013 model. While the previous one was equipped with a twin-turbo, the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo is going to be equipped with something more powerful – a tri-turbo. However, this update’s source is Autocar – so we are still looking for an official confirmation on this one. So, keep your fingers crossed but don’t get your hopes too high – although we believe the tri-turbo news is pretty legit.

Other Configuration

The upcoming 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo is coming up with a flat-six engine (turbocharged) that is going to generate at least 542hp. However, we are not certain of the exact numbers as the rumor is in the air that the 911 Turbo is going to generate a base (without turbocharged) 525hp while in the turbocharged mode (hopefully triple!) it is going to hit the 550hp mark. It is going to have a great acceleration level which will provide the 911 to hit the 100 km/h mark within 3.7 seconds.

The Body

As the latest spy-shots show us, the 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo is going to feature new bumpers and a new retractable rear wing. Also, the sources say that there will be prominent air intakes in this 911 Turbo 2013 version. Now all we have to do is to wait for the further announcements from Porsche.
