Head to Head: Porsche Panamera Turbo versus Panamera Turbo S

The Porsche Panamera series is very exciting and it has been like that for quite a long time now and it is most encouraging that the Turbo and Turbo S versions of the Panamera are also following the same direction. A lot of Porsche lovers always make some fuss about why this car isn’t that fast or it’s acceleration is a bit slow or stuffs like that but such an accusation won’t find a base in the matter of these two Turbo versions of Panamera series. Let’s look at what these two are holding out for us!

The Engines

The Panamera Turbo and the Turbo S models are quite head to head in the matter of engine horsepower as it was revealed in the test run. The Turbo version is equipped with a very nice 500hp engine at 6,000 rpm while the Turbo S is a slightly superior one in the matter of horsepower. The Turbo S comes with an even more impressive (as it was expected) 550hp engine that is also rated at 6,000 rpm which is exactly the same with the Turbo version.

The Performance Comparison

The New Panamera Turbo comes with an impressive top speed of 188 miles per hour which is slightly lower than the Turbo S version. The Panamera Turbo S comes with a slightly more speedy 190 mph maximum speed limit so that’s not so big of a lead, right? But when it comes to the acceleration part the Panamera Turbo falls a quite bit short as it hits 60 miles within 4.0 seconds while the Turbo S makes it within 3.6 seconds which makes the latter one a clear winner.

The Price and Verdict

As for the pricing thing, the Panamera Turbo gets the upper hand here as it is priced at $138,650 while the Turbo S comes with a significantly expensive $175,300 and this is where it falls short. So considering the price and performance the Panamera Turbo takes the lead here obviously!
