Perhaps the craziness and all the hypes are not that much as it has been for Porsche Panamera series, but the Cayenne line is not something that you can get off your hook! Yes, the very lively and exciting budget series the Porsche Cayenne has come with two of its gems that most of the budget Porsche lovers will enjoy a great deal. The Engines

As far as the powerful attributes are concerned, Porsche’s Cayenne series is not like that from any angle. Yes, it is decent and all that but this series is just doesn’t stand a chance against the much more exotic looking and powerful vehicles from the Panamera series. But the base model of Cayenne seems better clocked at 300hp at 6,300 rpm which is a lot better than the Cayenne Diesel as it only managed to come up with a 240hp engine with a lower rpm rate of 3,500 to 4,000. So here the Cayenne wins by a big margin.

Performance Comparison

As for the performance and speed of the Cayenne and Cayenne Diesel are concerned, both of these two failed to make up a great impression in the matter of speed and acceleration. However, that doesn’t certainly come as a surprise as the Cayenne series is actually Porsche’s budget car series, so nobody would expect much of anything that comes to define Porsche at its best. But the 142 miles per hour speed limit of the Cayenne is not that bad either and especially if you compare it to the Cayenne Diesel edition which runs at 135 mph maximum then you will see that it isn’t so bad. Also the acceleration of Cayenne is not that good (60 mph within 7.4 seconds) and when the Diesel one comes in (60 mph within 7.2 seconds) then that also makes the Cayenne a bit lower end.

The Price and Verdict

However, if you look at the prices of these two models (Cayenne @ $48,850 and Cayenne Diesel @ $55,750) then you will feel that the Cayenne base model is the obvious better choice between these two.
