Since its first appearance during the year 1947 in Germany, the Volkswagen Bulli has made quite an impression in the minds of VW enthusiasts. However, during the last few years with the entrance of some very nice and exciting high level models from different car manufacturer’s the Bulli went down in the popularity. All this has again changed as Volkswagen has given the Bulli a new life, a kind of rejuvenation!

What’s So Great about the new VW Bulli

For 2012 model year, the VW Bulli has been designed to come with some modern utilities, a nice retro-inspired design which looks cool and a perfectly working and highly inspiring zero-emission electric powertrain which gives it the edge. Not to be misunderstood, this Bulli comes in as a six-passenger van with some distinction. It also has a slightly longer nose with a bigger ‘VW’ symbol up front that looks gorgeous. With the bright and powerful LED headlamps that come in L-shaped design and the very useful fog lights give the Bulli a very nice and distinct level of personality which most of the enthusiasts will like surely. Also the Exterior color is really cool as the paintjob (2-tone) is divided at the beltline and goes covering the whole body with the same 2-tone painting. The length of the whole body is total 156 inches which makes it a compact car which is easy for taking anywhere.

The Interior and the Performance

The interior of the Volkswagen Bulli comes with some nice and advanced functions. The multifunction color display shows the users the tiniest details of the car and the addition of iPad controls navigation, nice stereo and Bluetooth connectivity this Bulli can boast of having some advanced features under its belt. Otherwise the interior design looks a combination of the traditional and the modern. On the other hand, the performance of the VW Bulli is based on 114hp electric motor that can give a maximum speed of 87 mph which is quite good for average users. The acceleration is also okay as it takes 11.5 seconds to hit the 62 mph mark. Also charging facility looks great as it takes barely more than 1 hour to charge the whole battery and the speculation says it can run at least 186 miles on that single charge which looks pretty impressive. Overall, the VW Bulli seems to be a nice deal.
