The Audi e-tron Spyder is Audi’s next concept car that can hit the showrooms within the next 5 to 24 months. It definitely will be a nice car that will surely impress some enthusiasts quite a lot. Let us take a look at the concept behind the e-tron Spyder.

What’s Behind the Wheel

The Audi e-tron Spyder is looking at combining the two fueling system and creating a hybrid one which will definitely come as a shocker because not many cars are built for that much efficiency. Audi can manage to do it for the e-tron Spyder because the price is not what the company is looking at but Audi is eyeing the technological breakthrough in creating the perfect car. Essentially designed from around the drivetrain from the start or the beginning, Audi will let go of the heavy and some more premium level features like air conditioning and a glove box. The e-tron Spyder will feature the batteries, a 300hp twin-turbo diesel V6 engine, a competent fuel tank with two 44hp electric motors which will probably do the job. Even the roof is being left behind for cutting the weight of the car in order to create a car that doesn’t eat up our valuable energy source and thus harm the environment.

The Design and the Future

According to the sources the company only wants to reveal the fact that it will be built basing the Audi R8 architecture which however is not very convincing as only the floor-pan is unmodified but from the chassis to the center tunnel will be totally modified. Also with the electronic torque vectoring technology that Audi is going to use in the e-tron Spyder will ensure the true control of the drivers by enabling them to program the car how to behave. On the other hand, the hybrid system will provide greater energy recovery which will definitely take the e-tron into an environment-friendly limelight and the all-wheel drive on demand feature will surely establish true control over the vehicle on the run.
