The new improved Beetle

Beetle has gone on to become a cult car that perhaps anybody would love to drive. The car that began on Ferdinand Porsche’s working board in the early 1930’s was redefined and was born with entirely new looks in the 90’s. Volkswagen revolutionized the entire automobile industry and in fact helped to change the outlook of the people. Now small was good and beautiful, it was the new fashion statement for all. After a prolonged hiatus period the company reignited the flames by introducing the new improved version of Volkswagen Beetle in the year 1998. The buyers were attracted and lured into buying this new small yet trendy car model. Now there is the fresh 2012 Beetle with a makeover more focused on the interiors of the car model.

The 2012 version of the Beetle is much wider and longer and also features a lower front in comparison to the previous models. The two door car with a steep windshield has a wheel base of around 99 inches and also sports the retro look that perfectly complements the car’s performance parameters. There are some interesting facts associated with the new model. The car is six inches longer than the previous model of Beetle and it is supported by a more powerful 2.5 liter five cylinder engine that gives this car a better improved horsepower of 170. The price of the car is roughly $19,800 and there are some more enhancements like the push start button, a Fender audio mechanism, nice heated front seat and an advanced Bluetooth keyless entry provision.

The beetle features a six speed automatic transmission gearbox and provides great flexibility and speed. The car is a front wheel drive and gives great results to the user. The car probably loves going around the corners as it squeaks and turns there without making much effort. The car has got a cute body style and comes in various vibrant and perky colors. The sun flower color and red stand out among the rest of the crowd. The car is just perfect and it offers no scope of improvement anywhere. Beetle also plans to bring in its much more advanced and fuel efficient with its TDI engine. The car is most likely to be released at the Chicago auto show.

The Golf TDI engine will serve as a prototype for the 2013 TDI Beetle version. It will probably include the turbocharged and direct injected diesel engine that would be capable of giving 236 pound feet of torque as its output. The pricing for this car model have not been released yet and hence things are not certain at that end. A further increase in the price might be unwelcoming to its users. The car does face this drawback for being bit overly priced. It is a new car for the new young generation but can disappoint its takers on the mileage front. The cool small compact yet expensive car hopes to become a youth icon and boasts of great speed, performance utilities and a unique style statement.
