This year, the International Geneva Motor Show will come up with some goodies. Among these, there’s the Seat Toledo showcar though it is said that this one comes in the form of a “close-to-production study”.

As you can see from the picture above, the Seat Toledo concept comes with a design that resembles the one of a sports car but that keeps the proportions of a classic saloon car. This production sedan seems to be the combination of the IBE, IBX and IBL concepts.

The car will be available in Spain later this year. If we go back in time, we remember that Seat has come in the form of a trunked vehicle as well as in the form of a five-door hatchback so far. Well, with this new concept, the fourth generation of Seat is a five-door hatchback that looks like a three-door sedan. Still, it is said that the convenience of the car is not compromised by its design. Several principles have been used when building this car. They relate to rational usability, spaciousness as well as outstanding design quality.

The car which is rumored to have a price that starts at €13,000 to €14,000 will be built on the AO-plus platform from Volkswagen. As the Head of SEAT Design, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos described it, the car is ”sophisticated and timeless – a true personality”.
