Everybody has heard of Audi R8, but do you know that in 2014, Audi is preparing a new R8? It will have an eye-catching look and tehnicals characteristics over the top.

Audi is always thinking about its customers, so we do not have to wait until 2014. This year, at the end, we will enjoy a slightly modernized R8. Technically speaking, it has a seven-speed automated manual automotive transmission; as you all remember, the actual R8 is sequential six-speeder. Audi‘s A6 upgraded MMI hardware and software are inherited by the changed R8. 540bhp is the new power output of the v10, raised from 525bhp and all you, who have Prius, will enjoy the 2012′s Audi R8 with the numbered electric RSe with less than nothing emission.

It is time now to talk about the wonder R8 that will appear in 2014. Audi follows the progressive styling theme and will exclude the sideblades and the manual transmission; you can enjoy more space due to the encasement and a multi-functional colour monitor located between speedometer and rev counter.

But this is only the beginning. New technologies, such as the head-up display will be optional and the improved lights are LED units with changeable power.

The new R8 introduces carbonfibre for the rear firewall instead of the present one hundred procent aluminium-based ASF structure; it also presents a transfer tunnel and some B-posts that act double as rollover security factors. All these changes will transform R8 in a lighter car with 24 kilos and 13 procents stronger, the kerbweight expected to drop by one hundred kilos.

The upgrade of the power output made in 2012 is not enough and this will increase, with the 2014′s Audi R8 to 550bhp; the turbocharged 4.0-litre v8 perfect engine for 600bhp is the same engine as the one found in the Audi S8 and the Bently Continental GT.

And this is not all! If you thought that only 2014 will bring a new R8, you can stay relaxed! The sparkling R8 Spyder will be on the market in 2015.

2014′s Audi R8 and the similar Lamborghini Gallardo substitute from 2013 are modular sports arhitecture planned by the company giant Audi. The modular rear-wheeldrive maxtrix will be the arhitecture of the new cars after 2014, an arhitecture designed by Porsche.
