In winter months many decide to buy a new car. And the appetite for new cars seems to grow more and more, given the fact that the number of people who want to buy cars directly from the factory has grown during this period for the first time in this year.
Journalists at the Daily Mail made a top of the cars which don’t lose their value over time and are most suitable to be purchased, provided that the financial crisis facing the world no longer afford to change cars in the same frequency as in the past.
In general, cars lose value over time, but how much and how soon depends on the model and the manufacturer.
In collaboration with an auto site, the Daily Mail did an experiment and they tested five models of new cars that lost the least in value from September 2010 until now.
The results show that the best cars are made all by the German manufacturers!
Thus, on the first place is BMW 3 Series, a highly sought car both by business people and families. Last year the new model cost around L 30,000. This year, the same car sells about 25,400 pounds.
Second place is occupied by the older brother of the previous model, namely the BMW 5 Series. A year ago, this car could be purchased for a price of L 37,400 and now worth L 31,800.
Volkswagen Golf is the third model that retains its value for a long time. If last year was selling new Golf with 18,500 pounds, a year later it is worth L 3,000 less.
Audi A3 ranks fourth, so if new Audi A3 last year cost L 22,500, the same car costs L 18,500 after 12 months.
The top is closed again by a German model, namely the VW Polo. Last year car cost L 12,500, now it costs about 10,000 pounds.
