Many Porsche fans have been anxiously waiting for more news about the baby Cayenne but it seems that there haven’t been any of them lately. Well, a few shots have started to make the rounds recently and have thus brought the future Porsche Cajun back to our attention.

The car has been spotted during a winter testing in the northern part of Sweden. You might wonder why the car in the photos looks so much like the Audi’s SUV. Well, the reason behind this similarity is that Audi Q5 and Porsche Cajun are built on the same platform.

Among the things Cajun will come up with, there are the improved wheels and brakes. Q5 is the role model in matters of engine, too, and both the diesel and petrol versions will be available. The engine will be tuned to Porsche specifications in order to get higher energy figures.

It is also believed that Porsche will use a hybrid powertrain that would combine an electric motor of 44 HP with a 2.0 TFSI engine producing 210 HP. If this proves to be true, then Porsche will manage to get to the average CO2 emissions goal that is of 130 g/km. By 2015, all car manufacturers will have to reach these figures regarding the CO2 emissions.

Porsche Cajun will come in two variants that include the 4 door version which will be launched first and the sportier 2 door model. The latter will come quite shortly after the launch of the first model.
